ITINERARY
Day 01 - Arrival / Colombo
Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be taken to Colombo, a vibrant city with great restaurants, malls, casinos, and nightlife.

Check into your hotel and relax before starting your Sri Lankan adventure.

Spend the night camping, next to a camp fire, under the stars and experience the wild-side of the island
Day 02 & 03 - Colombo / Wilpattu National Park
Your journey into the wild begins! We leave Colombo and head to Wilpattu National Park, the largest forest reserve in Sri Lanka.

This stunning reserve is home to a wide range of mammals, birds, and reptiles. We pick a safe camping spot and get ready for our adventure.

We'll be exploring over 1000 square kilometres of wilderness, so be prepared to see some amazing wildlife.

We might spot leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and many more. Who knows what we'll find?

Go on a thrilling evening safari in Minneriya National Park to witness the many creatures that live there.
Day 04 Wilpattu / Sigiriya
Journey to the Minneriya National Park! After Wilpattu, we head to Sigiriya, which is not too far away from this stunning park. Minneriya is filled with evergreen forests, wetlands, and grasslands, covering over 8,000 hectares. It is home to a wide variety of animals, including leopards, elephants, spotted deer, wild buffalo, and many more.
Day 05 Sigiriya / Kandy
Climb to the top of Sigiriya Rock Fortress! After a restful night, we'll take you on a morning climb to the top of this massive rock fortress.

The history behind this structure is a powerful family drama, where it is alleged that King Kashyapa built the rock castle after murdering his father to take over the throne. Experience all of this and more, when you climb to the top of this amazing monument and take in the history of the location, while you try to catch a glimpse of how the sun touches the surrounding land.
Travel Highlights
Before visiting Kandy, take a morning trek to the summit of Sigiriya or Lion Rock to learn about the history of the site and to marvel at the creativity and resourcefulness of ancient Sri Lankans.

In Kandy, take a little guided tour around the city to learn about the local culture and see how contemporary lifestyles coexist peacefully with traditional ways of life.

Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses Lord Buddha's solitary surviving item.
Day 06 Botanical Gardens / Nuwara Eliya
From Kandy to Nuwara Eliya! After a day in Kandy, we'll head to Nuwara Eliya, a beautiful hill town lovingly called "Little England". It's home to stunning tea estates, waterfalls, flower gardens, and colonial-era architecture.

Before we leave Kandy, we'll visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. This stunning garden is home to over 4,000 plants and attracts over 2 million visitors each year.

While sipping a lovely cup of steaming tea, visit a tea plantation and learn about the manufacture of genuine Sri Lankan tea.
Day 07 Horton Plains / Bakers Falls / Nuwara Eliya
Explore Horton Plains National Park! This protected area is rich in biodiversity and covered by grasslands and cloud forests. It's a popular tourist destination for hiking and camping, making it one of the most visited locations in Sri Lanka.

While exploring Horton Plains, we'll take a moment to admire the beauty of Baker's Falls. This waterfall measures 70 feet and is named after the naturalist and explorer, Sir Samuel Baker, making it one of the most magnificent waterfalls in Sri Lanka. Later, we'll make our way back to Nuwara Eliya for an overnight stay.

Day 08 & 09 Nuwara Eliya / Ella / Udawalawe National Park
After a relaxing stay in Nuwara Eliya, we head to Ella, the trekking capital of Sri Lanka. This beautiful town is surrounded by rolling hills, cloud forests, and waterfalls. The natural beauty of Ella attracts thousands of tourists each year to go on hikes, climb mountains, or party all night long.

From Ella, we head to Udawalawe National Park, a popular wilderness destination for safaris and camping. This forest area is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, leopards, and birds. Udawalawe National Park is the third most visited national park in Sri Lanka.

In Ella, go on a hike to top of Little Adam’s Peak, which gives you a stunning 360 degree panoramic of the surrounding area or go on a hike towards Ravana Ella Falls

In Udawalawe, go on an exciting safari and later, spend the night camping, next to a camp fire, under the stars and experience the wild-side of the island
Day 10 & 11 Udawalawe / Yala National Park
After our camping experience in Udawalawe, we head to Yala National Park, the second-largest reserve in Sri Lanka. This park is famous for its high concentration of leopards, making it one of the best places in the world to see these elusive cats. Yala also has a wide variety of other wildlife, including elephants, sloth bears, and birds.

Spend the night camping under the stars, close to a campfire, and discover the island's untamed side.
Day 12 & 13 Yala / Bundala / Sinharaja National Park
After Yala, we head to Bundala National Park, the bird capital of Sri Lanka. This park is a world-renowned wintering ground for migratory water birds, including the greater flamingo. Bundala National Park is also a biosphere reserve, making it an important protected area for wildlife.

Next, we visit Sinharaja National Park, the last remaining tropical rainforest in Sri Lanka. This park is home to a wide variety of rare and endangered species, including over 50% of Sri Lanka's insects, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals. Sinharaja National Park is the oldest reserve in the country and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 14 Sinharaja / Departure
