ITINERARY
Day 01 -
Arrival / Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage / Kandy
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and head to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see elephants up close. End your day with a visit to the Temple of the Tooth and a cultural show. Check into the Hotel.
Travel Highlights
We will stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on our route to Kandy to offer shelter for elephants orphaned due to poaching or habitat destruction.
In Kandy, we will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is an important place of devotion for Buddhists since it holds Lord Buddha's only remaining relic.
Enjoy a stunning performance of a cultural dance that embodies the real essence and magnificence of Sri Lanka.
Day 02 -
Kandy / Ramboda / Nuwara Eliya
After a morning city tour in Kandy, visit Sri Bhakta Hanuman and Ramboda Falls, two waterfalls with strong ties to the Ramayana legend.
Continue to Nuwara Eliya, a hill station known for its tea plantations and colonial architecture. Take a city tour and visit the Seeta Kotuwa, a cave believed to be the place where Sita was held captive by Ravana. Check into the Hotel.

Day 03
Nuwara Eliya
In the morning, we will visit the Seetha Amman Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Sita, the wife of Rama in the Ramayana
Then head to the Royal Botanical Garden in Hakgala, a beautiful garden with a variety of plants and flowers. Next, visit the Divurumpola Temple, where Sita was tested by fire to prove her innocence. Check Into the Hotel.

Ella / Colombo
After Nuwara Eliya, head to Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Enjoy a mini-city tour to see Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and other attractions. Then, visit the Anjaneyar Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Hanuman, the monkey god in the Ramayana. Check into the Hotel.
Day 06
Colombo / Chilaw
After, we will head to Chilaw, a town in Sri Lanka that is home to two important Ramayana temples: the Manawari Temple and the Munneswaram Temple.
The Manawari Temple is where King Rama prayed to Lord Shiva after defeating Ravana. The Munneswaram Temple is one of the five ancient temples dedicated to Shiva in Sri Lanka. Both temples are popular pilgrimage sites for Hindus, and they offer a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Sri Lanka. Check into the Hotel.
